Art Therapy

There is a current school of thinking in psychotherapy and emotion management that claims you can release negative (or even positive) feelings and facilitate therapy through art. Any kind of medium is good enough; visual arts, photography, painting or sketches, written forms, poetry, and prose, or music.

It promotes calm and quiet and even helps manage stress, so this time I would like to ask you to submit your art. Art made based on your current feelings. It would be a nice change of pace if you created something, gave it a title, and then we discussed it.

What does it mean to us, to the creator, and how does that make us feel? What about the choice of colours? The lines or poses? What do they indicate about the artist?

Of course, it goes without saying, that we don’t expect masterpieces, and that is not the scope of this post. Creation has merit on its own, and artistic expression is valuable in itself.
