The Limehouse Golem

The Limehouse Golem is a horror movie directed by Gilles Paquet-Brenner. The story is about a series of very strange murders that have led the people to believe that the only one who can be responsible for these murders is a mythical creature called Golem.

The story at the beginning focuses around a little girl called Lizzie that is being abused and violated by both her mother and strangers. As she was growing up he started to love acting on the stage. At some point, after she had watched a show, the leader of the acting team introduced himself to Lizzie. He liked her so she stayed with them. A while later she married John Cree a writer who promised her to act in one of the shows he was writing. Then these strange murders started to make their appearance. The murder cases where assigned to John Kildare (Bill Nighy) a detective who was never assigned a murder case before. John was trying his best to solve the cases but the suspects were too many and the clues very little. What will happen at the end? Well you’re gonna have to watch the movie to find out.

Overall the experience for me was absolutely stunning. I really liked the special effects and the sound quality. Moreover I watched it in a surround sound cinema room so that added up to the experience. Also the personalities of the characters were both unpredictable and had the common human reactions and feelings.

To conclude I really liked the film and I recommend you to watch it as well, but keep in mind that it is definitely not for minors. Even some adults might find some of the scenes disturbing so bear that in mind too.
